The rural, picturesque Town of Otsego is located in central Columbia County, Wisconsin. The township's countryside is balanced with farm landscapes and tracts of natural areas abounding with wildlife. Residents and visitors of the area also have easy accessibility to the amenities of nearby villages and cities via State Highway 16 and good county and town roads.
Unlike many other townships in the area, the unincorporated community of Otsego is actually located in the Town of Otsego. This quaint community is home to several families, the Otsego Town Hall, The Otsego Yacht Club (a restaurant), and several examples of rural Wisconsin at its best.
Otsego Township's farming community, known at one time as the "bread basket", produces the crops and scenic beauty our area of Wisconsin is known for. A blend of cultivated crops and farm establishments fill the charming countryside. Residents and visitors are captivated by the pleasing aesthetics of the area.
The Town of Otsego has several wildlife areas for sporting activities, including hunting, biking, camping, snowmobiling, and viewing native foliage and animals. Grassy Lake Wildlife Area with its uplands, wooded areas, and aquatics located near the center of Otsego Township and the Audubon Society of Madison are just a couple of Otsego's areas that attract many nature enthusiasts.
